　　秀兰因为忍受不了渔村的贫穷生活想到城里挣钱。潘太太带秀兰到城里把她卖到妓院，秀兰不肯打伤了人逃了出来，幸好遇到一位老板方甘救了她并把她带到了咖啡园。原本以为跟了方甘就能过上好生活，可是事与愿违。咖啡园新来的工人李达原本是个杀人犯，逃到了这里躲避警察，被发现后李达偷走了方甘的钱，带着秀兰一起离开了。两人的逃亡生活没能坚持多久，就被咖啡园的人和警察发现了，李达死在了秀兰的怀中……
