内海八重のマンガを実写化する本作は、52時間にわたる残酷な同窓会で変貌していく人間を描くサスペンス。同窓会のために母校に集まった元6年2組の23人は、クラスメイトだった夢崎みきおに監禁され、うち13人が死亡する大事件に巻き込まれる。みきおの目的は「命の危機という極限状態で、人間の“善性”がどれだけ保てるのかを試すこと」。乱れゆく秩序の中、元クラスメイトたちの間では復讐、いじめ、裏切り、暴露などが繰り広げられていく。
